PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) – This week, Governor Kristi Noem, along with the South Dakota Department of Health and the South Dakota Department of Education, launched medcannabis.sd.gov, a website to answer questions and provide information about upcoming medical treatment The Cannabis program is scheduled to go into effect on July 1st.
Medical cannabis will be legal on July 1 after South Dakota voters passed Measure 26 initiated in November 2020.
The medical cannabis program is on schedule.
Noem aims to start this program as quickly and responsibly as possible.
