Osteoarthritis, spondylolisthesis, rheumatoid arthritis, herniated discs, and trauma are all causes of canal stenosis. Exercises will be a large part of the recovery plan to improve strength and mobility across the spine while maintaining current ranges of motion. Your doctor can also recommend anti-inflammatory medications or corticosteroid injections. If conservative treatment of spinal stenosis fails to improve symptoms, surgery may be recommended, according to Dr Amy Davidson, the osteopath at crucial health.
