Two guns, US $ 100,000 worth of magic mushrooms confiscated from illegal cannabis store in East Vancouver Vancouver

Vancouver police have seized multiple guns and cannabis and magic mushroom products valued at over $ 150,000 after raiding an illegal pot shop.

According to police, officers conducted an inspection on June 9 of an unlicensed cannabis store near Clarke Drive and William Street.

During their search, the officers discovered two handguns and a “large amount” of cannabis oils, topicals and edibles. The estimated retail value of the products is $ 50,000 to $ 60,000.

Police also found about 25 pounds of dried psilocybin, about 75 pounds of psilocybin-infused edibles, and hundreds of individual packs of psilocybin powder mixed with nutritional supplements.

The estimated retail value of psilocybin products – also known as “magic mushrooms” – is $ 100,000 according to the VPD.

“Knowing that these illegal weapons are in stores across the city is definitely a matter of concern and poses a risk to the public,” said Constable Tania Visintin.

Police arrested a 35-year-old man who was released pending further investigation.
